Job Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA/MA Sr) is a vital member of the patient-centered healthcare team, helping patients feel at ease and collaborating with providers during visits.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Remaining compliant with all organizational educational, licensure, or certification requirements
• Cross-training and floating as needed to support clinic operations

Minimum Qualifications

For Medical Assistant (MA):

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Completion of an MA program, EMT-Basic course, on-the-job training with healthcare experience, or MA Apprentice program
• American Heart Association BLS certification (required within 90 days)
• 1 year healthcare experience (preferred)

For Medical Assistant Senior (MA Sr):

• HS diploma or GED (required)
• BLS certification (required within 90 days)
• One of the following certifications or training: Military Medic/Corpsman, Credentialed or Certified Medical Assistant, Paramedic, LPN license, or other approved certification
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant or in related field (required)
