Job summary

Marquette General Hospital is seeking a Clinic Medical Assistant (MA) to join our physician practice on a PRN basis. You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced clinic and support multiple physicians.

Responsibilities include basic diagnostic procedures, specimen collection, patient registration and data entry, while maintaining exam rooms and supplies for a smooth workflow. Qualifications include High School diploma, Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced clinic.
  • Minimum work experience: One-year related clinic experience preferred; RMA and BLS certifications are required.

  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitors and communicates patient changes.
  • Maintains equipment and examination areas; reordering, stocking, cleaning and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Performs administrative duties: filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

How you'll contribute

A Clinic MA who excels in this role:

  • Provides direct and individualized care to clinic patients.
  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
  • Performs administrative or clerical duties an assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
What we're looking for
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. This is Fast paced, busy clinic. Large group of physicians
  • Minimum Work Experience: One-year related experience, preferred. One year clinic experience, preferred.
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Basic Life Support (BLS).
