Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant III to support providers in delivering patient-centered care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, collect histories and vital signs, and help coordinate care.

You will serve as MA preceptor, update workflows, and function as a system superuser to improve efficiency and patient outcomes. Minimum 3 years in credentialed MA roles, CPR certification, and MA credentials are required or listed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of credentialed MA experience with MA II level skills.
• CPR certification and MA credentialing through CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC.
• Experience updating procedures and serving as a preceptor.
• Ability to coordinate care and communicate patient information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with complex patient care issues.
• Precept other MAs and support training.
• Update manuals and manage workflows.
• Serve as system superuser to optimize processes.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Assistant III to support our providers in delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you'll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

What You'll Do:

• Assists provider with more complex patient care issues.
• Successfully serves as MA preceptor for new and existing MA's
• Updates procedure manual and creates and manages workflows
• Funtions as system superuser
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.

General Requirements:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of accredited/approved: Valid CPR certification.

• MA program and MA Externship;
• MA Internship;
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program;
• Paramedic program; or
• Certified Athletic Trainer.

If credentialed, maintains current MA Re-Certification CEUs.

CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE:

MA-Credentialed I: Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies:

• American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
• American Medical Technologists (RMA)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
• National Healthcareer Association (CCMA)
• National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
• American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

3+ years' experience working as a credentialed MA with skills/education required from MA II role.
