Job summary

Samaritan Health Services in Lebanon, OR, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Peds team at LCH Health Center RHC. You will assist practitioners, handle telephone prescription orders/refills, and maintain patient records in a busy primary care setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma and registration or certification as a Medical Assistant. Prior back-office experience and Lab/EKG skills are preferred.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Assists practitioner in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records and relaying test results.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Primary Care teams at Samaritan Health Services offer complete health care for pediatric patients (newborn to 18 years old) through their pediatric and family medicine providers. They encourage and offer preventive care, including annual exams, health screenings and counseling regarding health and lifestyle.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required.

Previous medical back office experience/medical assistant training, or completion of a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant program preferred.

Experience in applicable specialty area preferred.

Lab/EKG experience preferred.
