Job summary

Samaritan Health Services is seeking a Float CMA to support multiple outpatient service lines and dedicated core specialties at Samaritan Medical Group. The role offers a float differential of $3.00 per hour in addition to base pay, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend requirements.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant, hold an active Healthcare Provider BLS, and bring back office experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Registered or Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Healthcare Provider BLS.
  • Previous medical back office experience / medical assistant training, or completion of a Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Experience in applicable specialty area preferred.
  • Lab / EKG experience preferred.

Summary

As a Float within Samaritan Medical Group outpatient clinics, you'll have the unique opportunity to support all outpatient service lines. Additionally, we offer roles with focus on dedicated core specialties such as Pediatrics, OB/Gyn, Urology, and Orthopedics, providing comprehensive care and expertise in these areas. This role offers a diverse and engaging work environment, allowing you to gain experience across various departments and make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Individuals on this team are eligible to receive float differential at $3.00 per hour in addition to the base hourly rate. Schedule is Monday - Friday. No weekend requirement.

Responsibilities
  • Assist practitioner in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records, and relaying test results.
Department Description
  • The Primary and Specialty care teams at Samaritan Health Services offer complete health care for all family members from newborns to seniors through their pediatric, family medicine, internal medicine and specialty care providers. They encourage and offer preventive care, including annual exams, health screenings and counseling regarding health and lifestyle.
Experience / Education / Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required.
  • Healthcare Provider BLS required.
  • Previous medical back office experience / medical assistant training, or completion of a Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Experience in applicable specialty area preferred.
  • Lab / EKG experience preferred.

Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
