HSHS Prairie Cardiovascular seeks a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech to join our Springfield Cardiovascular team. The role involves rooming patients, taking assessments, preparing examination rooms, and coordinating care in a fast-paced ambulatory cardiology setting.

Ideal candidates have MA program completion or 1+ year clinical experience, and must obtain MA certification/registration within 90 days. BLS is required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• 1 or more years of Medical Assistant experience may be considered in lieu of completion of program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and perform initial assessments.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure readiness of equipment.
