Your Role:
MaineHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine - Bath Rd - Brunswick | MaineHealth has an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Assistant. This position supports a practice that includes 11 Orthopedic and Sports Medicine providers with sub-specialties in Foot & Ankle, Hand, Shoulder, and Total Joint Replacement.

The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as experience working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The candidate must be computer-proficient, self-motivated, flexible, and both task and patient focused. A demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment is integral for success.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within one year of eligibility. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
3. Experience: One year of experience as a Medical Assistant or 6 months of experience and certification required.
