Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in Cedar Falls, IA, is hiring for a Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN in Occupational Health. The position is full-time, Day Shift, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, located in Cedar Falls.

The role supports clinical practice operations by performing a mix of administrative and clinical tasks, assisting physicians, collecting vitals, documenting and performing basic procedures, and ensuring smooth patient flow with accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Must have completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration required within one year of hire.
• Must have completed accredited LPN program.
• LPN license in the state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other providers with patient care including patient preparation, vital signs, documentation and basic clinical procedures.
• Coordinate patient flow, maintain accurate medical records and contribute to a positive patient experience.

This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Required

• Must have successfully completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.

OR

• Must have successfully completed accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.
