Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $21.45- $32.20 for an MA or $23.65 - $35.50 for an LPN, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Performs all functions of a Medical Assistant I Med Grp, including patient preparation, clinical procedures, laboratory work, assisting physicians/APPs, and medication administration under orders or protocols.
  • Follows through with procedure requests, care algorithms, appointments, and referrals. Communicates with team members and patients to ensure smooth clinic flow and accurate information sharing.
  • Performs clinical tasks such as suture removal, audiograms, lab procedures, phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, and prescription refills under supervision.
  • Provides age-appropriate care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development, and interprets patient data to meet age-specific needs.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA, or CMAC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days, unless waived by department leader.

Education Required:

  • GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of recent full-time experience as a Medical Assistant.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a clinical practice as a Medical Assistant.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills within scope after competency demonstration.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including electronic medical records systems.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 35 pounds, and perform various physical movements throughout the day.
  • Use of patient handling equipment for heavier lifts, with team assistance.
  • Exposure to hazards and requirement to wear protective gear as needed.
