Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in our busy practice.

You will room patients, record vital signs, administer injections and medications, and perform EKGs and point-of-care tests under supervision. You will triage calls, handle electronic messages, assist with check-out duties, and contribute to a collaborative team that values compassion and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous medical assistant experience in vital signs, EKGs, medications, and immunizations

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vital signs.
• Administer injections and medications.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
• Triage phone calls and electronic messages.
• Assist with check-out duties.

Position Summary:

Performsclinical duties in physician practicesunder the direction of the practice manager and physicians.Responsible for rooming patients,obtainingand documenting vital signs, administering injections and medications, performing EKGs and other point of care testing and treatments, triaging phone calls and electronic messages, and performing check out duties.Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

Education:High School Diplomaor equivalent

Experience:Previousmedical assistantexperiencein vital sign accuracy, EKGs, medication administration, and immunizations
