Job description

Non-Surgical Multispeciality Office is located at 550 Hospital Dr, Warrenton VA 20186.

The Medical Assistant will provide general patient care in a physician office setting. The Medical Assistant will complete tasks as directed by the physician and office manager to ensure seamless operation.

Responsibilities:
  • Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
  • Administers injections, vaccines, and medications and other related tasks as instructed by the physician.
  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.

Minimum Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Two years of college (Preferred)
  • Medical Assistant Certification (Required)
Required Skills:
  • Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support BLS (may be obtained week of orientation)
  • Medical Assistant must be credentialed by an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) (within 6 months of hire).
Minimum Work Experience:
  • Required - 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Demonstrated phlebotomy experience.
  • Preferred - 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse. Six months of phlebotomy skills to include blood draws is preferred.
