Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Missouri seeks a Medical Assistant to support physician practices with patient rooming, vitals, injections, EKGs, and point-of-care testing. The role includes triage of calls and messages, and checkout duties as part of a collaborative care team.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and prior MA experience with vitals, EKGs, medications, and immunizations. Day one benefits are offered and a values-driven culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous medical assistant experience in vital sign accuracy, EKGs, medication administration, and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vitals under the direction of the practice manager and physicians.
• Administer injections and medications as prescribed and perform EKGs.
• Triage phone calls and electronic messages; assist with check-out duties.
• Promote teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.

Position Summary:

Performsclinical duties in physician practicesunder the direction of the practice manager and physicians.Responsible for rooming patients,obtainingand documenting vital signs, administering injections and medications, performing EKGs and other point of care testing and treatments, triaging phone calls and electronic messages, and performing check out duties.Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
