For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Medical Assistants:

0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full-time)

1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full-time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part-time MA position.
Bonus amount is prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth members are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation from employment.

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position.

MaineHealth Neurology - Rockport | MaineHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant. This role involves supporting the clinical team in delivering safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following: graduated from an accredited vocational or community college Medical Assisting program with 160 hours of clinical experience; completed an Adult Education Medical Assistant program with 6 months of clinical experience; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (evaluated case-by-case).
  2. License/Certifications: Current certification from AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT preferred or obtained within 1 year of eligibility. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date. For positions in New Hampshire, NH Med Tech License or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license are required.
  3. Experience: Relevant Medical Assistant experience preferred.
