Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) or Clinic LPN for the ENT Clinic in Mason City, IA. This is a full-time, day-shift role (40 hours/week, M-F) supporting clinical operations and patient care.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, vitals, documentation, assisting physicians, coordinating patient flow, maintaining medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and MA certification/registration within one year.
• Alternative: must have completed an accredited LPN program with Iowa license.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and healthcare providers in delivering patient care.
• Perform patient preparation, collect vital signs, document and perform basic clinical procedures.
• Coordinate patient flow, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure a positive patient experience.

Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Required:

• Must have successfully completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.

OR

• Must have successfully completed accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.
