JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Assists practitioners in performing procedures, managing telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records, and relaying test results.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- The Primary Care teams at Samaritan Health Services provide comprehensive healthcare for all family members, from newborns to seniors, through pediatric, family medicine, and internal medicine providers. They promote preventive care, including annual exams, health screenings, and lifestyle counseling.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required.
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
- Previous medical back-office experience, medical assistant training, or completion of a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Experience in the applicable specialty area preferred.
- Lab/EKG experience preferred.
