Job Overview

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support within the scope of their training. The role involves direct patient care, administrative duties, and potential coverage at different office locations.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct patient care such as vitals, allergy/medical reconciliation, screenings, patient history, and health maintenance under provider supervision.
  2. Assist with indirect patient care activities including scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart preparation, and point of care testing.
  3. Perform administrative tasks and cover front desk duties as needed.
  4. Float to other offices based on business needs.
Qualifications
  • Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program, or active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic Certification, or relevant experience.
  • Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire.
  • Maintain all required credentials throughout employment.
Experience
  • At least one year of direct patient care experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Relevant experience or externship in a busy medical office preferred.
  • EPIC EMR experience is preferred.
