Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Urgent Care in Clinton, IA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations. You will assist physicians, prep patients, collect vital signs, document care, and participate in basic clinical procedures, with a primary focus on lab collection and testing.

This role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; MA certification/registration is preferred before hire and required within one year.

Position:

Medical Assistant (MA): Clinton Urgent Care

Location: Clinton, IA

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Day shift, M-F

Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

This position will be primarily responsible for lab collection and lab testing. They will backfill the offices when available.

Required:

• Must have successfully completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
