Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Urgent Care in Clinton, IA is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for day shift to support clinical operations.

The MA will assist physicians, collect vitals, prepare patients, document care, handle lab collection, and help maintain accurate records while ensuring a welcoming patient experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other providers in patient care, including prep, vital signs, documentation, and basic procedures.
• Coordinate patient flow, maintain medical records, and ensure a positive patient experience.
• Primarily responsible for lab collection and lab testing; backfill offices when available.

Position: Medical Assistant (MA): Clinton Urgent Care

Location: Clinton, IA

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Day shift, M-F

Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

This position will be primarily responsible for lab collection and lab testing. They will backfill the offices when available.

Required:

• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
