Overview

Join our dynamic team at Ohio State University Physicians, where excellence meets compassion!

Applying for this position means you will be considered for a Medical Assistant (MA) role across all our facilities, including Worthington, Upper Arlington, Hilliard, Campus Area, Gahanna, Westerville, New Albany, and Dublin.

*To qualify, you must have open availability to work Monday through Friday, between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm, totaling 40 hours per week.

About the opportunity

We are hiring medical assistants for our Centralized Hiring program. This program offers a unique four-week training period where you will rotate through multiple clinics and specialty areas. During training, you will communicate with your manager for feedback. At the end of this period, you will work with your manager to select a permanent clinic placement.

Responsibilities
  • Room patients, measure and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
  • Conduct patient interviews and take medical histories.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments; explain procedures; assist with procedures as ordered by physicians.
  • Assist in examinations, carry out treatments, and perform special tests.
  • Set up equipment and prepare treatment rooms.
  • Collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine lab tests.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least one of the following:

• Diploma from a Medical Assistant Program
• Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience
• Military Medic training
• EMT-P (Paramedic) training
• Equivalent combination of relevant medical assisting experience and education

Preferences:

• Medical Assistant Certification

Pay Range

USD $17.49 - USD $28.19 per hour
