Medical Assistant (MA-C) – Pediatrics at Swedish Pediatric Specialty Care – Seattle

Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift

Location: Seattle, Washington

Job description:

As a Medical Assistant/MA-C, you’ll assist with administrative and clinical tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating patient information in EPIC, and taking vital signs during appointments. Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training as a medical assistant, or
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
  • Completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, or
  • At least one year of work experience as a medical assistant performing clinical skills such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration

Additionally, candidates must have:

  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • Six months of healthcare experience
  • Six months of medical assistant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
