Job summary

Noble Community Clinics in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and to help maintain smooth clinic operations in a welcoming environment.

You will assist with clinical and administrative tasks, including taking vital signs, EMR documentation, phlebotomy, immunizations, and scheduling. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, MA certification, CPR/BLS, and 1+ year of healthcare experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant certification required.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of EMR, immunizations, phlebotomy and basic lab testing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and recording history.
  • Document patient information in the EMR and ensure accuracy.
  • Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
  • Administer vaccines and immunizations as ordered.
  • Manage vaccine inventory and track orders as needed.
  • Educate patients on follow-up care and treatment plans.
  • Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and medical equipment.
  • Support front desk with scheduling and referrals as needed.
  • Triages patient calls and maintains patient confidentiality.

About The Role

At Noble Community Clinics, our Medical Assistants are vital members of our care team. In this role, you will support providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, help maintain smooth clinic operations, and create a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. You will assist in both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of service.


What You’ll Do


  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures by taking vital signs, recording medical history, and updating patient charts.

  • Document patient information in the EMR following best practice standards including compliance with HIPPA.

  • Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.

  • Perform basic laboratory tests and collect/prep specimens for analysis.

  • Administer injectable medications and immunizations as ordered by Provider.

  • Immunization ordering, tracking, and daily inventory monitoring in adherence with the Vaccines for Children Program and the Wisconsin Immunization Registry.

  • Educate patients on follow-up care, procedures, and treatments.

  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical equipment to ensure a clean, safe environment.

  • Assist with scheduling, referrals, and electronic medical record (EMR) documentation (experience with Epic preferred).

  • Triage patient calls and provide backup support at the front desk when needed.

  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and patient confidentiality regulations.

What We’re Looking For


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Medical Assistant Certification.

  • CPR/BLS Certification required.

  • 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Strong communication, organization and customer service skills.

  • Comfortable working with diverse populations and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of EMR, medical terminology, medications, immunizations, phlebotomy and lab preferred.
