Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in a busy clinic setting in Tennessee. You will help with exams, procedures, and patient education, and ensure smooth patient flow under physician supervision.

The role requires an accredited Medical Assisting program or equivalent experience, current MA certification and BLS, plus the ability to perform triage, vitals, EKG, and phlebotomy as needed. A sign-on bonus is available for new hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification through one of the listed bodies (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, ARMA, HPRUS) with 90 days to obtain it.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Medical Assistant diploma or 3 years of healthcare experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and assist with patient care (exams, procedures, patient education) under physician supervision.

Job Summary

Qualifications

Education:

Required: High school diploma or GED

Certification:

Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)
