MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, part of Trinity Health, seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to support patient care delivery in a busy setting. Responsibilities include patient prep, vital signs, documentation, and assisting with procedures and tests.

Qualifications

Successful completion of a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHP or ABHES.
Must obtain CMA/RMA/NCMA/CMA-CCMA/NRCMA/NPCE MA within one year of hire.
BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows, email, MS Office).
Ability to read/write/understand English and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Responsabilités

Deliver patient care through preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation.
Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under provider direction.
Coordinate schedules, tests, procedures, and follow-ups for continuity of care.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to policies and procedures.
Educate patients and families and act as a patient advocate at all times.
