Job summary

North Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to manage patient flow in the clinic and support providers in patient care. The role emphasizes collaborative, delegated tasks under supervision, with ongoing validations and coordination with the clinic leadership to meet daily goals.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited MA program or RMA pathway, plus current BLS.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by a recognized accrediting organization, with on‑the‑job experience and training OR graduate of a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program with on‑the‑job experience, training and passing the RMA certification exam.
• Current BLS certification; RMA certification required if RMA program attended.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in patient care.
• Collaborate with the clinic supervisor, manager, and providers to meet goals of the customer, shift, department, and organization.
• Communicate with the health‑care team regarding progress, concerns, or problems as essential.
• Perform unit‑based skill validations and coordinate with Blaze Health scope of practice.
