Job summary

Ridgeview is seeking a skilled nursing support professional to assist providers, room patients, administer medications and vaccines, collect specimens, and coordinate care across Gaylord, Le Sueur, and Winthrop locations as needed. This role requires travel to clinic sites to support staffing and patient care.

Responsibilities include vitals, EMR documentation, referrals, and patient education in a fast-paced outpatient environment. LPN or CMA certification and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from Medical Assisting program or School of Practical Nursing.
• Current LPN Licensure or current Medical Assistant.
• Current CPR certification.
• Graduate of clinical laboratory program and/or ability to display and complete job competencies.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMR.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification/licensure.
• Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patients.
• Performs room turnover in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day.
• Assists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessary.
• Assists with patient education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience/License/Certifications

• Graduation from Medical Assisting program or School of Practical Nursing
• Current LPN Licensure or current Medical Assistant
• Current CPR certification

• Current LPN Licensure or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Assistant (RMA) (LPNs/MAs will have 1 year to become certified in order to maintain employment)
• Current CPR certification
