Qualifications

Responsibilities

This role works collaboratively with Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and clinical team members to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.The MA – Limited X‑Ray performs limited capacity x‑ray procedures, supports patient flow, and completes clinical and administrative responsibilities accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with GoHealth’s mission and values.Essential FunctionsLimited X‑Ray ServicesPerform limited x‑ray procedures as permitted under North Carolina regulationsProperly position patients and apply radiation safety and shielding protocolsPerform x‑rays of:Upper extremitiesLower extremitiesChestCommunicate x‑ray results to Medical Providers in a timely mannerComplete daily equipment checks, quality assurance, and documentationTroubleshoot radiology equipment issues and submit service requests as neededPatient Registration & Front Desk SupportRegister patients and collect required documentation and insurance informationVerify insurance eligibility and collect co‑paymentsSchedule appointments and coordinate referralsAnswer phones and respond to patient inquiriesPatient Preparation & RoomingPrepare patients for examination and collect medical historiesMeasure and record vital signsPerform point‑of‑care testing (e.g., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG)Communicate patient flow and care needs to providers and team membersAdministrative & Clinical SupportMaintain accurate documentation within the EHRConduct patient courtesy call‑backsPerform opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliationMaintain cleanliness and organization of clinical and front‑desk areasInventory & SuppliesStock exam rooms and clinical spacesMonitor inventory levels and submit supply requestsCheck expiration dates and ensure proper storagePerform other duties as assigned by leadershipRequired QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)Graduate of a Medical Assisting program (preferred)ExperienceMedical Assistant experience requiredExperience performing x‑rays preferredCertifications & LicensureBasic Life Support (BLS) required (American Red Cross or AHA)Limited Practice Radiographer certificate requiredARRT Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography examination requiredOne of the following Medical Assistant certifications is preferred, but not required:CCMA – Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA)CMA – Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)NCMA – National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT)Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of urgent care and medical office workflowsStrong multitasking and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsService‑oriented mindset with strong patient focusProficiency with MS Office and electronic medical record systemsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced clinical environmentSet up email alerts as new job postings become available that meet your interest!If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
