Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care seeks a Medical Assistant – Limited X-Ray to support clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will perform limited x-ray procedures, assist providers, and help manage patient flow and documentation.

You will register patients, collect insurance information, and perform point-of-care testing while maintaining a patient-centered approach and strong teamwork in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting program preferred.
• Experience as Medical Assistant required.
• X-ray experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Limited Practice Radiographer certificate required.
• ARRT Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography required.
• Certifications such as CCMA, CMA, or NCMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited x-ray procedures under NC regulations and position patients with safety protocols.
• Communicate x-ray results to providers promptly.
• Complete daily equipment checks and document QA tasks.
• Register patients, collect insurance information, and verify eligibility.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals; respond to inquiries.
• Prepare patients, obtain medical histories, and record vital signs.
• Perform point‑of‑care testing (e.g., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, hCG).
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation; manage opening/closing procedures and inventory.
