Job summary

Sidney Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse to join the General Surgery Clinic as a full-time position. The care team focuses on rooming patients, performing assessments, and coordinating patient care in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or relevant certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessments, assisting providers with procedures, calling patients with test results, filing, ordering medical supplies, and additional duties as assigned by General Surgery Clinic providers.
• Rooming patients, taking vitals, intake documentation, assisting with procedures in clinic.
• Coordination of patient care.

The Position: General Surgery Clinic Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse

Employment Status: Full-time

Compensation:

• Medical Assistant Uncertified Compensation: $17.75 Per hour starting wage, aligned with internal pay structure and experience
• Medical Assistant Certified Compensation: $19.00 Per hour starting wage, aligned with internal pay structure and experience
• LPN Compensation: $24.50 Per hour starting wage, aligned with internal pay structure and experience
• RN Compensation: $30.74 Per hour starting wage, aligned with internal pay structure and experience

Essential Job Functions:

• Assessments, assisting providers with procedures, calling patients with test results, filing, ordering medical supplies, and additional duties as assigned by General Surgery Clinic providers
• Rooming patients, taking vitals, intake documentation, assisting with procedures in clinic
• Coordination of patient care

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or relevant certification within 12 months of hire or have an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Proficiency in basic medical terminology and procedures and knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Certifications and Licenses:

• Must complete certification with an accredited Medical Assistant program within 12 months of hire or have a current unencumbered Montana/Compact LPN or RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
