Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Training/Staff Development Lead to oversee all operational functions related to staff development and training within the clinic system in Slidell, LA. You will implement policies and participate in initiatives to improve processes for internal and external customers.

Under general supervision, you will mentor staff, coordinate resources with clinic leadership, and ensure compliance with corporate standards.

Qualifications

Formal Medical Assistant program completion is required.
Minimum 2 years of related experience
Experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred
Team Lead or Supervisory experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Oversees daily department activities, serves as point person during Supervisor's absence, and trains new employees.
Allocates resources daily among the clinic in collaboration with the department manager.
Monitors time and attendance per clinic policy.
Leads special projects and audits to strengthen internal controls and process culture.
Collaborates with vendors, partners, and internal teams on new initiatives testing or implementation.
Addresses customer concerns and supports service improvement initiatives.
Performs all duties of the Medical Assistant.
Adapts communication to patient population and privacy requirements.
