Job summary

Dorsey College is seeking a Medical Assistant Lead Instructor to support instructional staff and act as a liaison between faculty, campus leadership and the Education team. The role emphasizes documentation, mentor-ship, and compliance with regulatory standards.

The Lead Instructor will oversee course material preparation, exam processes, and staff development while ensuring timely communication and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

  • Must be a current Dorsey instructor with at least 1 year teaching experience
  • Medical Assistant courses require a degree/diploma/certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Certification from a recognized agency must be obtained within 120 days of first day teaching

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Instructor Resource Manuals, Safety Manuals, and other required documentation
  • Assist with maintaining instructor binders and gather regulatory/accreditation forms
  • Communicate routine matters from campus leadership to instructional staff
  • Mentor new teachers on campus orientation, lesson plan completion, and grade compilation
  • Assist instructors with modular documentation and course syllabi collection
  • Maintain inventory of reference books/materials and purchase supplies
  • Manage final exam process and assist with classroom observations as directed
