Job summary

myPlace Health is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to support PACE participants in a center-based setting. You will handle intake, prepare participants for visits, perform clinical tasks within scope, and document accurately in the EMR, collaborating with the IDT to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires MA certification/licensure where applicable, an Associate's degree or equivalent experience, and 4–6 years in Medical Assisting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in Medical Assisting preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (MA) licensure/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients, measure vital signs, record weight, BP and temperature.
• Draw blood and administer injections.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR before exams.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with procedures.
• Sterilize and check medical equipment; perform administrative tasks as assigned.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to junior staff.

The Medical Assistant, Lead supports myPlace Health PACE participants by providing safe, high-quality clinical and administrative assistance in a center-based setting. This role performs intake, prepares participants for visits, completes ordered clinical tasks within scope, supports clinic operations, and documents accurately in the EMR while collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Assists in exam rooms by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording weight, blood pressure, and temperature.
• Draws blood and gives injections.
• Documents patient information, and ensures it is complete prior to exam.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean and well stocked.
• Sterilizes, cleans, and performs checks on medical equipment.
• Performs office duties and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Performs work under minimal supervision.
• Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Required Certifications or Licenses Medical Assistants (MAs) Preferred Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience Experience Preferred: 4 to 6 years of experience Medical Screening.
