Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Aurora, CO is seeking a Medical Assistant for an onsite, full-time role in the Neurology department. You will support patient flow, assist with policies, mentor teammates, and coordinate services in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates hold CMA/RMA certification, BLS, and have at least 1 year of healthcare experience. A high school diploma or GED is required to apply.

Department:Neurology

Work Schedule:Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift:Days

Pay:$22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:
Leads team members of anassigned areaor function bydemonstrating and providingadvanced knowledge of job responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
Assists with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures. Provides mentoring, monitoring,coaching, and contributes to evaluation ofteam members'performance.
Serves as a positive role model for team members by working with them to promote efficiency, quality, teamwork and cooperation.
Assists withcoordinating services,prioritizing assignments and workflow,and promoting situational decision-making/problem solving.
Performs all responsibilities of primary role. Takes responsibility for, or provides guidance to team members on the handling of simple or complex issues.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year of healthcare experience.
