Job summary

Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Medical Assistant in Cardiology to join our team. This role is 0.9 FTE (72 hours bi-weekly), Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm, at the La Crosse Clinic.

You will provide patient-centered care, take vitals, perform EKGs, update charting, and support department projects. Requirements include a Medical Assistant program, or related nursing program, or MA certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program, Practical Nursing program or Vocational Nurse program or have completed education to be eligible for NCLEX-PN
• Or: High School Diploma or equivalency and attained a Medical Assistant Certification
• BLS for healthcare workers

Responsibilities

• Provide LOVE + MEDICINE to patients by greeting them with a warm and welcoming smile and setting the tone for their appointments
• Update patient information in charting systems
• Take vitals
• Perform EKGs and assist with project work that supports the department
• Partner with a team of providers, medical professionals, and managers who are here to support your success and that of our patients in their health journeys
