Job summary

Cedar Recovery, LLC in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical staff with prep, charting, scheduling, and prescription-related tasks. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, UDS scheduling, and e-prescribing support, in person at our outpatient facility.

Applicants should have EMR experience, be comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Drive, and ideally hold or pursue CMA certification.

Qualifications

EMR systems experience preferred.
Strong documentation and scheduling skills.
Familiarity with e-prescribing.
In-person outpatient setting experience is a plus.

Maintains patient care by pulling CSMDs, charting audits, scheduling patient follow-up appointments, and handling prescription issues
Proficient computer manageability for scheduling, changing, and canceling appointments and required documentation
Acts as support for the Office Coordinator and Patient Care Coordinator

Job description

Cedar Recovery, LLC is an ASAM Level I outpatient treatment facility that employs an array of evidenced-based treatment modalities to provide an integrated model of care of medical, counseling, and therapeutic interventions to treat every patient’s individual needs and promote long-term sustainable recovery from substance use disorder. While Cedar Recovery provides care for all substance use disorders, it has a primary focus on treating opioid use disorder with medications such as Buprenorphine and/or Naltrexone (MAT).

The purpose of this position is to serve as a Medical Assistant for Cedar Recovery. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
