Job summary

Concord Hospital Health System is seeking a dedicated professional to support IV starts, patient registration, and scheduling under supervision. Training will be provided for the right candidate, with emphasis on phlebotomy and basic patient care.

Qualified applicants may have some healthcare training and a Basic Life Support certification. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule and opportunities for growth within the hospital system.

Qualifications

• Some additional training beyond high school is acceptable.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls and identify patient health concerns.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments.
• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms.
• Interview patients during visits.
• Prepare patient treatment rooms and assist providers.
• Sterilize and prep instruments.
• Inventory and order medical supplies.
• Document patient care and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

This position’s primary role will be starting IVs, will also be asked to do some registration and scheduling. We are willing to train the right candidate. Experienced Phlebotomists are encouraged to apply.

Monday - Friday 730-4. No Major Holidays!

Summary

Under the supervision of the Director, Chairman, or Manager assists in the examination and treatment of patients under direction of the provider. In addition, may be involved in other areas including clerical, environmental and organizational support.

Education

Some additional training beyond high school, but less than an Associates Degree. Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.

Certification, Registration, and Licensure

Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.

Experience

Minimum of six months related experience and/or training in similar medical practice/field.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls and identifies patient’s health problem or concern.

• Schedules/reschedules appointments.

• Greets patients and escorts them to exam room.

• Interviews patients during visit.

• Prepares patient treatment room.

• Assist provider with examination/procedure.

• Cleans and prepares instruments for sterilization.

• Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.

• Completes documentation of patient care and procedures.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
