Job Summary

The Medical Assistant in Interventional Radiology supports clinical staff in providing high-quality, safe, and efficient care. This role assists with patient intake, equipment prep, and non-invasive patient care tasks, ensuring smooth workflow in the IR suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, prepare, and transport patients to and from the IR suite.
• Assist with pre-procedure vitals and documentation.
• Set up rooms with necessary supplies and assist with restocking.
• Help position and prep patients under RN supervision.
• Clean and turn over procedure rooms between cases.
• Act as a runner to retrieve supplies or communicate with other departments.
• Observe for patient needs and report concerns to licensed staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and infection control standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma or certification required (CMA or RMA preferred)
• BLS certification
• Previous hospital or radiology department experience preferred
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
