Job summary

KU Wichita Medical Practice Association in Wichita, KS is seeking a Medical Assistant- Internal Medicine to support providers in a busy clinic. You will room patients, take vitals, assist with immunizations and in-office procedures, and help with lab testing and basic care tasks.

Qualifications include CMA/RMA certification, high school diploma/GED, and 1–2 years of medical office experience. EHR experience (eClinicalWorks) preferred; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or RMA required.
• Recent graduates must obtain CMA/RMA within 60 days of employment.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of medical office experience preferred.
• EHR experience preferred, specifically eClinicalWorks.

Responsibilities

• Room patients for providers, including chart prep, chief complaint, HPI, medication reconciliation and vitals.
• Immunizations, injections, CLIA-waived lab testing, suture/staple removal, EKGs, wound care, and assisting with procedures.
• Answer calls from patients and pharmacies, relay orders and results for meds, labs, imaging, and DME.
• Clean and stock exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Participate in clinic process improvement activities and team meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
