Job summary

University of Kansas School of Medicine--Wichita is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in an Internal Medicine clinic. The role focuses on patient intake, vitals, immunizations, phlebotomy-like tasks, EKGs, wound care, and assisting with in-office procedures.

The successful candidate will have CMA/RMA certification or CMA/RMA in 60 days, and 1–2 years of medical office experience with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks). Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm in Wichita, KS.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or RMA certification required.
• 1–2 years of medical office experience preferred.
• EMR experience with eClinicalWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients for providers including chart prep and vitals.
• Administer immunizations and injections; perform CLIA-waived labs.
• Relay provider orders and test results to patients and external partners.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Participate in clinic process improvements and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
