Job summary

Summit Health Management in Bend, OR is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, EMT considered) to support our Internal Medicine team. You will assist physicians, manage patient flow and perform routine clinical tasks.

You will prepare exam rooms, take vitals, update EHR, and assist with referrals and care coordination. This is an on-site, full-time role with bonus potential and growth within a physician-led network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program is required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire required.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and escorts patient into room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and prepares for visits.
• Obtains vital signs and documents in EHR.
• Reviews and updates medication list and known allergies in EHR.
• Supports orders, referrals, and scheduling in PMS/EHR.
• Provides scribing support and assists care team as needed.
