Prismhr Hire is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our Internal Medicine team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience in a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and committed to maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in clinical workflows.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant may be preferred or required depending on location.
  • Previous experience in internal medicine, primary care, or a similar outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and electronic health records.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Commitment to professionalism, patient confidentiality, and team-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and prepare them for examinations, procedures, and follow-up visits.
  • Record patient information, vital signs, medical history, and other relevant clinical details accurately.
  • Assist providers with routine examinations and in-office procedures as directed.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
  • Support patient intake, documentation, and chart preparation in accordance with established workflows.
  • Coordinate referrals, lab work, diagnostic testing, and follow-up communication as needed.
  • Perform basic administrative duties such as scheduling, phone support, and message routing.
  • Maintain compliance with privacy, safety, and infection-control standards.
  • Provide courteous and effective communication to patients, families, and clinical team members.
  • Assist with additional clinical and administrative tasks as assigned.
