Job summary

Vail Health in Avon, Colorado, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Internal Medicine clinic team in a setting that blends mountain life with top-tier care. You will support providers and patients from newborns to seniors, delivering compassionate, professional care.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of healthcare experience, are certified as a Medical Assistant (or EMT/LPN/RN), and are proficient with EHR systems.

Qualifications

2+ years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience preferred
Skilled in venipuncture, injections, and IV therapy
Certified as a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, RN, or similar
BLS certification required
Tech-savvy with EHR systems and basic computer skills

Responsibilities

Taking vitals and documenting patient history
Assisting with exams and minor procedures
Performing venipunctures, injections, and IV therapy
Monitoring patient conditions and communicating updates
Managing patient communications and flow
Keeping exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready
Upholding HIPAA, OSHA, and Vail Health’s values
