Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal Medical Assistant program with externship (160 hours) preferred.
• Alternative: MA program without externship but 1 year clinical MA experience in past 5 years.
• Certified MA with at least 1 year of clinical MA experience or LPN/EMT or military medical personnel with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms with a welcoming environment.
• Obtain and record medical histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed.
• Perform administrative tasks to support efficient clinic operations.
• Contribute to compassionate, quality patient care.

• Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
• Saturday: 2nd sat of a month : 8:am - 12:00 pm

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR
  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, OR
  • Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR
  • Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, OR
  • Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
• Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
