Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our integrated healthcare team in Illinois. This role combines medical and behavioral health support, with emphasis on compassionate patient care and accurate documentation.

The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays, a starting pay of $18.00 to $20.50 per hour, and opportunities for growth through nursing degree assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed medical assistant training program.
• Current CMA or CMOA certification.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office and EMR software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured.

Responsibilities

• Support medical staff in delivering patient care services
• Assist with patient admissions and intake processes
• Schedule appointments, greet patients, and prepare them for visits
• Collect and document medical histories and patient information
• Record data in electronic medical records
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs
• Collect and process specimens as needed
• Provide health education and guidance to patients and families
• Assist patients with forms, documentation, and care coordination
• Prepare communication and patient education materials
• Operate mobile medical unit as needed
