Job summary

Zollege is seeking a Part-time Medical Assistant Instructor to join the team at Waco Medical Assistant School. In this role, you will inspire future healthcare professionals by combining your medical expertise with mentoring and hands-on education in a practical, real-world setting.

Instructors will lead an 18-week program that places students in a doctor's office environment, teaching skills through demonstrations, supervised labs, and frequent feedback. Classes are mainly Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ YEARS as a medical assistant or related employment.
• CMA, RMA, CCMA credentials.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Basic computer skills such as emailing, printing, scanning, troubleshooting, connecting to WiFi, etc.
• A passion for helping others achieve their personal goals.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each class by reviewing the provided curriculum, which may utilize lab stations.
• Demonstrate medical skills/procedures and assist students as they practice hands-on in the lab.
• Evaluate individual/group performance and make any necessary adjustments to meet student learning needs.
• Enforce classroom management and ensure adherence to safety precautions
• Ability to convey curriculum and pertinent skills via lecture and hands-on demonstrations.

Job Summary

In this role, you'll inspire future healthcare professionals by combining your medical expertise with your ability to guide and mentor students through practical, hands-on education.

Instructor positions are part-time with classes held primarily on Saturdays between 7:30am - 6:30pm. (Note: teaching schedules may vary based on morning and/or afternoon class availability. Some locations may offer weekday evening classes.)

Our focused, 18-week program is designed to provide accessible, hands-on education to students from all walks of life. Classes take place directly in a doctor's office rather than in a traditional classroom - allowing students to learn in the environment they will eventually work in. Instructors will use their clinical experience and training to teach our students the skills they need to succeed as entry-level medical assistants.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
