Job Summary

In this part‑time role, you’ll inspire future healthcare professionals by combining medical expertise with the ability to guide and mentor students through practical, hands‑on education. Classes are primarily held on Saturdays between 7:00 am and 6:15 pm, though schedules may vary to accommodate morning or afternoon sessions; some locations offer weekday evening classes. The 18‑week program takes place directly in a doctor’s office, giving students real‑world experience. Instructors will use their clinical experience and training to teach essential skills for entry‑level medical assistants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each class by reviewing the provided curriculum, which may utilize lab stations.
• Demonstrate medical skills and procedures and assist students during hands‑on practice in the lab.
• Evaluate individual or group performance, making adjustments to meet student learning needs.
• Enforce classroom management and ensure adherence to safety precautions.
• Convey curriculum and pertinent skills through lecture and hands‑on demonstrations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years (including months) as a medical assistant or related employment.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA credentials.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Basic computer skills (emailing, printing, scanning, troubleshooting, Wi‑Fi connectivity).
