Job summary

Dorsey College in Michigan seeks a qualified Medical Assistant Instructor to deliver course content across lecture, clinical, and lab formats using approved materials and diverse teaching methods to meet all learning styles.

You will assess student performance, advise on attendance and grades, maintain classroom readiness, and collaborate with departments to support student success and compliance with policy and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree, diploma, or certificate in the field taught from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Two years’ documented experience in the subject taught, or three years of significant job-related experience if no specific education.
• Certification from a recognized certification agency in the field must be obtained within 120 days of first teaching day and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture, clinical, and/or laboratory formats.
• Assess student learning using appropriate methods.
• Advise students on attendance, grades, and issues to ensure successful completion.
• Manage classroom environment per campus policies and ensure instructor preparedness.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
