MEDICAL ASSISTANT FOR FULL-TIME INSTRUCTOR – MONDAY - FRIDAY

Must be able to teach 5 mornings a week and at least 2 evenings a week until 10:00 pm.

We seek experienced Medical Assistants to become fully trained instructors, teaching year-round classes as Primary Scheduled Instructors and serving as Secondary Instructors or substitutes as needed. Our classes run year-round.

Medical Assistant Instructor duties include:
  • Teaching in the Medical Assisting classroom with up to 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
  • Conducting class sessions of 4.5 hours during day and evening times.
  • Learning the curriculum and delivering lectures and demonstrations based on Ross lesson plans.

Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution, preferably in allied health or a related field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Ability to work at least two evenings a week.
  • Experience in educational methodology such as curriculum development, faculty management, or classroom teaching.
  • 3+ years of full-time work experience in a healthcare setting within the past 7 years, including at least 40 hours in an outpatient ambulatory setting.
  • Relevant license, certification, or registration.
  • Leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to interview and hire effectively.
  • Ability to achieve or maintain necessary credentials or licensure.
  • Ability to treat all students equally and remain objective.
  • Sufficient mobility to facilitate student needs.
  • Good visual and auditory abilities to operate equipment and read materials.
  • Background and reference checks required.
  • Respect for confidentiality and privacy.
  • Effective professional communication skills in various formats.
  • Ability to build rapport and work with teams.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Goal-oriented with attention to detail and quality.
  • Professionalism in conduct, dress, and ethics.
