Medical Assistant Instructor – Hourly | As-Needed Schedule

Ace Institute of Technology is seeking a Medical Assistant Instructor to teach in our allied health programs on an as-needed basis. This is a great opportunity for experienced Medical Assistants looking to share their knowledge in a flexible instructional setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead engaging classroom and/or lab instruction for aspiring Medical Assistants
  • Develop lesson plans and adapt curriculum based on student needs and program standards
  • Assign and grade homework, quizzes, and hands-on clinical assessments
  • Support student learning and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Maintain student attendance and grade records per school guidelines
  • Coordinate with program leadership on class start dates and scheduling
Experience You’ll Need
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time work experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Strong understanding of clinical procedures, EKGs, phlebotomy, and front office tasks
  • High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education a plus
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred, but not required
  • New York State teaching license (or in-process) preferred for eligibility
  • Excellent communication, patience, and organizational skills
Schedule & Pay
  • Hourly role with flexible scheduling (classes may be day, evening, or weekend depending on enrollment)
  • Classes open based on demand — some months may have limited hours, others may be busier
  • Pay range: $25–$30/hour, based on subject taught and experience
