Job summary

Ross Education Holdings, Inc. Fort Wayne campus is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant Instructor to join the morning and evening class schedules. This position offers flexible PRN opportunities to teach and support students in a campus-based program.

You will teach in-person clinical and administrative skills, deliver lessons from Ross curricula, and supervise demonstrations for up to 24 students. Typical sessions run 4.5 hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to obtain a national certification as medical assistant.
• Individuals without formal education must have 5+ years in medical field with national certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach in Medical Assisting classroom with up to 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.

Medical Assistant Instructor duties include:

• Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.


• Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.


• Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.


• This is a part-time position, typically 9-18 hours per week.

MA Inst QualificationsRequirements

• 3+ years’ experience in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution. Must be able to obtain a national certification as medical assistant. Individuals without a formal education, must have with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience working in the medical field and a national certification. Additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements.


• Interest in teaching or prior experience


• Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow

• Clinical Coordinators need to have ability to travel to visit clinical sites or other meetings
