The College of Healthcare Professions in Austin seeks a Medical Assistant Instructor to guide students in professional skills, PPE, and hands-on learning, drawing on your medical experience.

You will deliver curriculum content effectively to Medical Assistant students, ensuring clarity and comprehension while mentoring learners and sharing real-world insights to enhance the learning experience. Training will be provided for teaching duties and collaboration with staff.

Competenze

  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the medical field.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
  • Phlebotomy Certification required.
  • Patient Care Technician (PCT) Certification required.
  • CPR certification preferred but not required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Medical Assistant Instructor plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of skilled medical assistant professionals. This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in the medical field to inspire and mentor students, guiding them toward successful careers in healthcare.

As an instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and fostering a learning environment that emphasizes professionalism, hands‑on learning, and student success.

Responsibilities

Deliver curriculum content effectively to Medical Assistant students, ensuring clarity and comprehension.

  • Mentor and guide students in developing professional skills and industry-specific competencies.
  • Use practical experience to provide real-world insights and examples that enhance the learning experience.
  • Promote a positive, engaging classroom environment that encourages participation and student success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and staff to ensure alignment with institutional objectives and educational standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the medical field. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
  • Phlebotomy Certification and Patient Care Technician (PCT) Certification required.
  • CPR certification preferred but not required.
  • No prior teaching experience required — training will be provided.
